To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Consolidation Assistant to join our Group Finance Paris team.
The successful candidate will support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial information reported by subsidiaries across the Group.
The role would suit a junior finance professional with some previous experience in consolidation who is looking to develop their career within a growing, international agency environment.
MISSIONS
Financial Consolidation
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
Collect, review, and validate reporting packages submitted by subsidiaries.
Support the reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions.
Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting guidelines.
Consolidation tool
Support the implementation of a new Group consolidation and reporting system.
Help define reporting structures, chart of accounts mappings, ownership hierarchies, and consolidation rules.
Support data migration and validation activities.
Develop user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
Support end-user training and adoption across the finance community.
Assist with ongoing system administration and continuous improvement after go-live.
Reporting & Analysis
Support the preparation of management reports and financial analyses.
Investigate and explain variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for reporting deadlines.
Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of reporting dashboards.
Accounting & Compliance
Assist in ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and/or local GAAP requirements.
Support the implementation and monitoring of accounting standards, controls and group policies.
Collaborate with local finance teams to resolve reporting issues.
Audit Support
Prepare documentation required for internal and external audits.
Assist auditors by providing financial information and explanations.
Ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails are maintained.
Process Improvement
Participate in finance transformation and automation projects.
Contribute to the enhancement of consolidation systems and reporting processes.
Support data quality initiatives across the Group.
PROFILE
Previous experience in an accounting, audit, reporting, or consolidation role.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
Familiarity with consolidation software.
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and financial data.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, organised approach.
Strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and working independently.
Professional and confident when communicating with colleagues across all levels of the business.
Able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Flexible and proactive in approach, with a willingness to support the wider Group Finance team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English.
